Rachel and Kyle’s wedding was everything an intimate celebration should be — filled with love, laid-back vibes, and just the right amount of fun. They chose the beautiful Toledo Museum of Art for their first look and family photos, followed by a heartfelt ceremony at Simply Married Toledo, and wrapped up the day with a cozy reception at Cork and Knife Provisions! If you’re planning an intimate wedding like Rachel and Kyle, I hope their day will serve as inspiration for your own.
Believe it or not, these two kids met at the gym where Kyle worked. Rachel came in for a personal training session with a friend, and Kyle decided to shoot his shot and ask her friend for Rachel’s Snapchat. Rachel played it cool, leaving him on “opened” for two weeks before finally agreeing to a date. And the rest, as they say, is history! Fast forward, they’re now proud parents to their adorable son, Kase, who added an extra sprinkle of joy to their big day.
Their day started with a first look at the Toledo Museum of Art, one of my favorite spots for couples who want artsy and creative photos (check out this engagement session I shot there!). It was homecoming weekend, so we strategically used the quieter backside of the museum for their first look and portraits! The Great Gallery provided the perfect backdrop for their first moments together, far enough away from the bustling crowds to get some privacy.
After capturing some beautiful moments at the museum, we headed to Simply Married Toledo for their ceremony. This cozy and intimate venue was perfect for Rachel and Kyle’s no-fuss, love-focused wedding. They even had a special bottle of Maker’s Mark labeled for the occasion, which they shared in a cute toast after the ceremony!
The reception at Cork and Knife Provisions was honestly the perfect end to their Toledo wedding. This was my first time at the venue, and I seriously can’t recommend it enough for intimate gatherings. The food was incredible, and the atmosphere was just right for Rachel and Kyle’s laid-back celebration. We all had such a great time that Andrew and I stayed to hang out with their family after our coverage ended – a dream scenario!
What stood out the most about Rachel and Kyle’s wedding was the focus on family and togetherness. There was no wedding party — just close family and lots of candid moments… my favorite. Their wedding hashtag, #MakeKaseLegitimate, was a playful nod to starting this new chapter as a family with their son making his appearance shortly after their engagement!
One of the cutest moments was their first dance and the shared shot of Maker’s Mark, celebrating the beginning of their new chapter together. Their wedding was a true reflection of their personalities — fun, relaxed, and full of love.
